Crystal Lyne

Executive Director

Crystal Lyne is originally from Austin, Texas.  She began playing volleyball as a 13 year old and played for Austin Junior Volleyball Club every year, till high school graduation.  She graduated Jack C. Hays High School, graduating May of 1994.  She received a full scholarship to Baylor University to play volleyball and received a Bachelor of Business as well as a Master of Taxation in 1999.  She pursued a career as a CPA in Waco and San Antonio, before moving to George West after marrying her husband.  She continued her CPA career in private industry in her family owned business, and continues as the company accountant today.

Upon introducing her daughter to the sport of volleyball in 2011, she rediscovered her passion for the sport and began her coaching career for Braggin’ Rights of Corpus Christi, coaching a highly talented 14 and under team.  In 2012, with a great support staff of parents and players, she founded CC Crossfire Volleyball Club, with the 15 and under team.  Crystal, with the AJV background she knew and loved, wanted to bring competitive, consistent, and confident volleyball training to Corpus Christi, and accomplished many great things that season, with a USAV Girls’ Junior National Championship bid.  In 2013, the club added a 12 and under team as well as a 14 and under team, and achieved an AAU National Championship.

In the summer of 2014, CC Crossfire merged with SA Force to create Corpus Christi Force Volleyball Club, in hopes of developing a structured coaching staff and growing a larger resource of training experts.  The first year, 2014-2015, the club had 6 teams and competed at the highest level possible, with yet another USAV GJNC bid in the 13 & under division.  In 2015-2016, the club had 9 teams and again achieved not only one bid to USAV GJNC in the 14 & under division, but also in the 15 & under and 16 & under divisions.  In 2016-2017, the club again grew, fielding 11 teams and qualifying one team for USAV GJNC in the 15& under division as well as pre-qualifying 2 teams for the prestigious 2018 Tour of Texas tournament series.

Crystal is not solely responsible for the success of the program, but her aspirations of bringing a competitive, high quality program to Corpus Christi plays out through all of the teams.  She coaches with the philosophy of, “Champions are made in the practice gym and rewarded at competitions.”  She also believes that playing time is earned and never guaranteed, to promote a healthy, competitive environment for the young ladies to flourish in.  The gym is a safe haven for her players and she hopes they take lifelong skills with them from their time in the gym and their teammates.
